I'm trying something new this week... instead of the traditional linking thingy, I thought I would try this as a "blog hop". Try it out and let me know what you think. Be sure to use the code snippet on your own page so people can just hop from page to page doing their "small town tour". If you can't get yours done exactly on Sunday, you can always backdate it!
This week in my small town it's THE LAST DAYS OF SWIMMING before school starts. Recently Tristan has gotten brave enough to jump from the top step of the ladder. I can't believe how big he is getting. It's amazing!
Not quite as brave when it looks like his brother might be about to leap onto his head, though.
My normally camera shy son suddenly decides to model for me. He started out with his regular smile then he spontaneously starts doing some GQ poses for me!
And then Julius is back to his normal self.
You're lucky to have had another week of "summer." School started here last week. Of course, the beginning of school doesn't have quite the same meaning for me now as it did when I was teaching and when I had kids in school.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a blast! I don't have any good small town pics (again) but am about to post some Waikiki pics from our vacation. . .
ReplyDeleteI didn't see where to post the comments when I was here before. The box sure seems to take up a lot of room.
ReplyDeleteIs this your first year with the pool? We've had ours 4 or 5 years. We had to replace the valves and hoses with ones for the pool store and had to do some modification to get them to work. The seal for the top of the pump has been a challenge to find. Putting vaseline on it makes it a lot easy to remove. I also use a float dispenser for the tablet chlorine and never have a problem with algae. I also run the pump a lot more, sometimes 24 hrs a day if it's dusty or a lot of traffic. My son built a deck for ours which makes it a lot nicer and safer.
That pool water looks cool and inviting. Your boys are becoming handsome young models too. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteAwesome pics!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your blog so much that I have given you the Charming Blog Award! Pick it up at http://parkeit.blogspot.com/2009/08/awarded.html
Thanks for all the times you have visited & commented on my little ole newbie blog!
We're doing the same thing tomorrow. One last summer bash, and then back to the books. Ew.
ReplyDeleteNothing like jumping in a pool! Looks like they had fun!
