Uterus Recall

I read about this over at the Consumerist. Apparently there is a plush uterus that has been recalled because the ovaries turned out to be a possible choking hazards.

The recall notice is hilarious. You really must go read it.

  1. Being as I work at a midwifery clinic and we have items similar to this I find it even more amusing! I will share this info so we can make sure no more choking ovaries get out!

  4. Maybe choking hazard AND a strangulation hazard. Wow, I had no idea how deadly these parts could be.

I wonder if OB/GYNs have special on-the-job hazard insurance.

  5. The more I think about it, the funnier it gets. If the uterus is NOT accessible to children, you can keep it. Hmmmm...

  6. Hmm. Do you think... well, if the uterus is not accessible to children then where do babies actually come from?

My gosh, you might have uncovered a vast conspiracy!

  7. ... and who would give a plush uterus to their little child I wonder? "Oh look how cute the baby playing with the uterus is!"

My uterus and ovaries was recalled because they made me a hazard to people around me... ;o) People that don't think that PMS is that bad should have met me, the surgery turned me from monster to angel over night.
